About Us

Georgia Tech remains a national leader in producing a diverse population of engineers.  Diversity among faculty, students, and staff is a key factor that promotes a thriving academic community where different perspectives are valued and respected.  The College of Engineering’s Diversity and Engineering Education Outreach office is a key component of that and strives to maintain Georgia Tech’s reputation as a diversity leader by being a hub of information for prospective students, current students, industry, and the community at large. Our office collaborates with other Georgia Tech offices and student organizations as well as alumni, national organizations, corporations, the K-12 community, and other universities to create and support a diversified engineering workforce.

Goals

  • Cultivating a diverse pipeline by increasing engineering awareness in the K-12 arena
  • Exposing students to real world hands-on engineering experiences
  • Attracting, empowering, and retaining undergraduate and graduate diverse talent in engineering
