The Georgia Tech Women in Engineering program is excited to announce the 14th annual Engineering Career Conference (ECC) for current female freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior high school students! ECC is designed to give high school girls knowledge and information about the 11 engineering disciplines offered at Georgia Tech to help them decide if they'd like to study engineering in college, and, if so, which type of engineering is best for them.
This year's ECC will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2013 from 8:30AM to 4:30PM in the Georgia Tech Student Center Ballroom.
Over the course of a day, prospective female students have the opportunity to hear directly from Georgia Tech's world-renowned faculty and current Tech students about the 11 engineering majors offered at Georgia Tech:
In addition, attendees have the chance to meet with a Georgia Tech Admissions Counselor to find out about the GT admissions process and the academic requirements necessary to be successful in engineering undergraduate programs. The day also includes lunch, icebreakers, and engineering trivia!
The non-refundable registration fee for ECC is $20, which covers all materials as well as breakfast and lunch for each girl attending the program as well as breakfast for parents, guardians or teachers. Please note that parents, guardians and teachers are invited to stay for the program if they choose, but are responsible for purchasing their own lunch; there are various restaurants throughout the Student Center to choose from.
On-line registration for this event will open in August.
