Engineering Career Conference (ECC)

Overview

The Georgia Tech Women in Engineering program offers the 13th annual Engineering Career Conference (ECC) for current female freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior high school students. This investigation of engineering majors and careers will be held in the Georgia Tech Student Center Ballroom in fall 2012. For high school girls making difficult college choices and major decisions, the ECC offers a richly informative and engaging opportunity to arm these potential students with knowledge and information to make their important college decisions.

Program Design

Over the course of a day, prospective female students have the opportunity to hear directly from Georgia Tech's world-renowned faculty and current Tech students about the 11 engineering majors offered at Georgia Tech:

  • Aerospace Engineering
  • Biomedical Engineering
  • Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering
  • Civil Engineering
  • Computer Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Environmental Engineering
  • Industrial and Systems Engineering
  • Material Sciences and Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Nuclear Engineering

In addition, attendees have the chance to meet with a Georgia Tech admissions counselor to find out about the academic requirements necessary to be successful in engineering undergraduate programs.
