Designed to offer middle school girls an early introduction to the world to technology, engineering, and computing, TEC Camp inspires middle school age girls to consider college majors and careers in these important fields. The format is highly interactive and designed to address the specific interests of middle school students. Planning for 2014 TEC Camp is in process. More details will be coming on this website by late April.
Participants are on campus from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Drop-off and pick-up information is provided in the camp acceptance paperwork. TEC Camp 2014 dates are June 9 - 13.
The camp is designed for middle school girls currently in 6th and 7th grades, who have a curiosity about technology, engineering and computing. To ensure ample opportunities for individualized attention and maximum interaction with professors and Georgia Tech students, a maximum of 40 students are accepted. Acceptance is based on academic record and personal essay. Applications for TEC Camp are now available and can be found here.
The registration fee is $250 for the entire week long camp. This covers all the costs for tuition, meals, materials and supplies, as well as the Friday evening banquet.
