Behrooz Abdi
CEO, Zadar Labs
M.S. EE 1985

Behrooz is a technology executive and investor who serves as an officer and board member of many private and public companies, creating billions of dollars of cumulative value for investors.

He is currently the CEO of Zadar Labs. The Silicon Valley-based company is developing high-performance software-defined imaging radar for safety and autonomy, as well as a vision sensor platform enabling the next generation of physical AI.

Behrooz previously served as CEO and President of InvenSense, Inc., a world-leading provider of sensors. InvenSense went public in 2011 and was acquired by TDK Corporation in 2017. Following the acquisition, Behrooz served as CEO of the InvenSense subsidiary until 2020. During his tenure, he transformed the company from a MEMS IMU company to a smart sensor system leader combining sensors and machine learning. He currently serves as a strategic advisor to TDK.

Before InvenSense, Behrooz was the CEO of RMI Corporation, a pioneer in multicore processors for data centers. He led its merger with NetLogic in 2009. The combined ompany was acquired by Broadcom in 2011.

Earlier in this career, Behrooz served as general manager of Qualcomm’s semiconductor business, where he helped build the fabless semiconductor ecosystem, enabling Qualcomm to become the largest fabless semicondutor company at the time.

Behrooz holds more than 20 patents in semiconductor circuits, systems, software, and sensors. He holds a master’s degree from the Tech’s School of Electrical and Computer Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Montana State University.

Aris Williams
ME 2025, M.S. ME 2026
George W. Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering

Aris is receiving his master’s degree in mechanical engineering, after earning his bachelor’s degree from Georgia Tech in 2025. As an undergraduate, Aris was named a Provost Scholar and participated in the Denning Technology & Management (T&M) Program. T&M brings together engineering, business, and innovation to prepare students to lead at the intersection of technology and entrepreneurship.

Aris has been actively involved in the campus community as a College of Engineering Ambassador, representing the Institute to prospective students, alumni, and industry partners. His academic work has focused on engineering design, emerging technologies, and developing innovative solutions with real-world impact.

Mallory Freeman
Ph.D. IE 2014
President, Global Enterprise Data Analytics & GenAI 
UPS

Industrial engineering graduate Mallory Freeman leads UPS’s enterprise data, analytics and AI strategies. She drives innovation in generative AI, agentic AI and automation. Over her decade-long career at the company, she has held leadership roles in advanced analytics, technology, pricing science, marketing and finance.

Mallory previously led initiatives through UPS’s AI and machine learning center of excellence, overseeing enterprise business intelligence, data engineering, applied analytics and the development of generative AI solutions. 

Beyond her professional work, Mallory serves on advisory boards for the College of Engineering, Virginia Tech’s Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering, and Neighborhood Nexus. She is also active in Data4Good and AI4Good’s efforts to solve humanitarian challenges with data and AI.

In addition to her Georgia Tech doctoral degree, Mallory earned her bachelor’s degree in industrial and systems engineering from Virginia Tech and a master’s in operations research from MIT.
