Security and Entry

  • Gates open 45 minutes before the ceremony.
  • Graduating students must enter through Zelnak Basketball Practice Center (entrance behind McCamish, adjacent E65 parking lot).
  • Attendees enter through all other McCamish Pavilion entrances.
  • All attendees will pass through metal detectors. 
  • Only clear purses, clear totes, small clutches, or medical bags are allowed.
  • Permitted and prohibited item guidelines.

Parking and Transportation

High traffic expected; plan for additional parking time. Fowler Street is southbound only. 

The Engineering Master's Ceremony will follow the Institute-wide ceremony for all master's graduates in Bobby Dodd Stadium. It's approximately a 10-15 minute walk from the stadium to McCamish Pavilion across flat ground — no need for guests to move their cars.

Guest Drop-Off and ADA Parking

  • Drop off/pick up at McCamish West Entrance on Fowler Street. 
  • ADA parking on Fowler Street, Eighth Street, and in E65 (behind McCamish Pavilion).

Public Transportation

  • The Midtown MARTA station is the closest to the ceremonies. 
  • Georgia Tech Stinger Bus Gold Route makes continuous pickups from Midtown Station to campus. 
    • Exit the Stinger at the Ferst and Fowler stop. 
    • Walk three blocks north on Fowler Street to McCamish Pavilion.

Permitted and Prohibited Items

Guests and graduates are all subject to venue policies regarding permitted and prohibited items. Signs are subject to the Institute's Freedom of Expression policy.

Free Bag Valet: Guests with strollers, baby carriers, or non-complying bags can valet their items at the Byers Tennis Complex (located across from McCamish Pavilion). Opens 90 minutes prior to ceremony start.

Ceremony Decorum

Students who disrupt this event may be subject to disciplinary action under Georgia Tech’s Student Code of Conduct. Attendees who disrupt this event may be subject to removal.

Families are encouraged to hold their applause until all graduates walk across the stage to allow everyone’s name to be heard. Please be respectful to all of our students.

Guests will be asked to release any reserved seats 15 minutes prior to ceremony start to help us accommodate others.

Event Photography

  • This event is being recorded and photographed. 
  • By attending this event, you consent to your likeness, image and/or voice being recorded and/or photographed, and used by Georgia Tech, without compensation, for any purpose within Georgia Tech's mission, and you release Georgia Tech from any liability resulting from such usage.

Graduate Photos
