In 2018, the A. James & Alice B. Clark Foundation partnered with Georgia Tech to financially support students who exhibit strong academic and leadership potential. The Clark Scholars Program is one of Georgia Tech's signature academic program, combining engineering, leadership ,and community service.
The program's goal is to enable students to embody the new requirements of engineers in a global marketplace. Today's engineer must be a dynamic problem-solver in multidisciplinary environments. They must also be comfortable engaging the populations affected by their research and their community's of practice.
By the end of their Georgia Tech education, Clark Scholars are highly skilled and creative engineers capable of conducting leading-edge research, collaborative problem solving, and community engagement. Student scholars embody an entrepreneurial spirit and community-minded values. They strive to continuously achieve excellence in everything they do.
