The publication, which will be released twice a year, contains a broad selection of writing, photography and illustrations highlighting the best of CoE.
While research and study will be represented in its pages, Georgia Tech Engineers focuses on the people behind those endeavors, sharing human stories within even the most technical topics.
The magazine is designed to interest both internal and outside audiences. It will serve as an ambassador of sorts, bringing news about CoE to alumni, government officials and administrators at other engineering colleges. But with a colorful design and quirky features, Georgia Tech Engineers should also catch the eyes of students, professors and staff members.
In the first issue, readers will find a feature on ECE Professor Magnus Egerstedt’s recent massive open online course (MOOC), as well as a photo essay of a college lab and profiles of students from CoE’s diversity programs.
The magazine will be available in offices around the College, and major stories will be published online. (Future issues may appear online in their entirety.)
If you’d like to give feedback on the magazine, request a copy, or offer a story idea for the next issue, please email editor Lyndsey Lewis at editor@coe.gatech.edu.
