Erera, who was also recently named ISyE’s associate chair for graduate studies, primarily focuses his research on transportation and logistics systems planning and control, challenging application areas including dynamic and stochastic vehicle routing and scheduling, and highway traffic network analysis.

He serves as faculty director for the newest ISyE master’s degree program, the M.S. in supply chain engineering, while also overseeing the overall graduate experience focusing on policy matters relative to all graduate academic programs, activities, and curricula.

His accomplishments include his recent selection as one of only 25 U.S. participants in the first EU-U.S. Transportation Research Symposium on City Logistics, co-sponsored by the Transportation Research Board of the National Academies.

Erera received his B.S. in engineering from Princeton University, and his Ph.D. in industrial engineering and operations research from the University of California, Berkeley.
