Ezzard is a civil engineer in the water resources group at AECOM in Atlanta, GA. She is involved with many aspects of the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) Risk Mapping, Assessment and Planning (Risk MAP) program and completed a project assisting the agency with rebuilding efforts after Superstorm Sandy. Risk MAP aims to deliver quality data that will increase public awareness and lead to actions that reduce risk to life and property as a result of flooding.

Ezzard’s work on the Risk MAP program has included performing hydrologic and hydraulic modeling in several Southeastern states in order to identify flooding associated with the one percent annual chance flood event – the benchmark design in floodplain management.

Also involved in her community, Ezzard volunteers to serve the homeless through Lazarus Ministries, and participates as a rider and fundraiser for Tour De Cure, a cycling event that benefits the American Diabetes Association. Ezzard is also a mentor at the Center for Education Integration Science, focusing on Math and Computing.

Ezzard earned her bachelor’s degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Civil Engineering.
