The 2014 Georgia Tech Spring Commencement took place on May 2 and 3 and the sheer number of degrees awarded is impressive. Here is the raw data:
- 2859 degrees awarded by Georgia Tech.
- 1635 engineering degrees awarded.
- 57.2% of degrees awarded were engineering degrees
- Two schools (ECE and ME) awarded more degrees than any other College on campus.
Of the 1,635 engineering degrees awarded:
- 1,118 were bachelor's degrees.
- 403 were master's degrees.
- 113 were doctoral degrees.
- 398 (24.4%) were awarded to women.
- 193 (11.8%) were awarded to African-American, Hispanic, or Latino students.
The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering awarded the most total degrees (370) and the most graduate degrees (201), while the George W. Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering led the way in bachelor's degrees, awarding 266.
