After several procedures her condition improved, but not enough for her to leave the hospital for commencement on Saturday.

Not wanting to see a student deprived of their special moment, the leadership of Georgia Tech stepped up to make her weekend special. Saturday evening Gary May, Dean of the College of Engineering, and Steve McLaughlin, Chair of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, paid Lindsey a surprise visit at Piedmont Hospital, delivering her diploma, honor cords, and a letter from President Bud Peterson.

Lindsey is on her way to recovery and should be back on her feet in time to start her position with a multinational corporation as planned in June.
