Biography

Jesse Mason was Regents' Professor and head of chemical engineering before serving as dean for 18 years. His commitment to fostering academic excellence reached beyond the practice of teaching. 

Following his retirement in 1966, the civil engineering building was named in his honor. The Jesse W. Mason Building is a five-story, 90,000 square-foot facility that houses labs, classrooms, a makerspace, and the chair's office.
