About INFORMS

INFORMS was formed in 1995 by a merger between Operations Research Society of America and The Institute of Management Sciences.  It's goal is to improve operations, management, and decision making for individuals and groups.  The Undergraduate Operations Research Prize Competition is awarded each year to a student or group of students who conducted significant research in operations and management.  For more information on INFORMS, go to http://www.informs.org/
