Dr. Johnna Temenoff, an assistant professor in the Wallace H. Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering, and Dr. Vector Breedveld, an associate professor in the School of Biomolecular and Chemical Engineering at Georgia Tech, have been selected to attend the 2010 National Academy of Engineering's (NAE) Frontiers of Engineering Education Symposium in December.
Temenoff's Research
Dr. Temenoff's research includes developing biomaterials to aid in the regeneration orthopedic fibrous and interface materials and understanding how stem cells interact with surrounding cells. For more information on her research, visit her site at http://temenoff.bme.gatech.edu/.
Breedveld's Research
Dr. Breedveld focuses on complex fluids, more specifically the structure and rheology of complex fluids. Dr. Breedveld's lab, the complex fluids group, consists of eleven members including himself. About Frontiers of Engineering
The NAE was founded in 1964 and encourages the advancement of engineering education, meeting the needs of the nation, and also recognizing great achievements in engineering. The NAE created the Frontiers of Engineering program in order to allow engineering faculty members a chance to share ideas to aid in the education of engineering students. For more information on the NAE or Frontiers of Engineering, go to their website at http://www.naefrontiers.org/.
