COE's Medical Physics Program Gains CAMPEP Accreditation

COE's Medical Physics Program recently gained CAMPEP accreditation. The program was approved in 2003 and admitted its first students in 2004. In 2005, the first three students completed the program and enrollment has been growing steadily. CAMPEP is a nonprofit organization whose objectives are the review and accreditation of educational programs in medical physics.

Accreditation is a voluntary, non-governmental process of peer review, the objective of which is to ensure a program or institution has met a defined standard. Thus accreditation serves as public recognition that a program provides a quality service or education. This recognition reflects the excellent and sustained program-building work by the Medical Physics faculty and staff.
