Some COE students were "buzzing" about love being in the air this February. Mechanical Engineering student Christian Lee Van Asch wanted to make his engagement special as well as combine it with his love of Georgia Tech. What better way than to get the Georgia Tech mascot, Buzz, to help make the day special. While Christian and his "intended" were walking around the football stadium, Buzz made an appearance with a sign saying "Will You Marry Me Elizabeth?" Buzz was the happy witness as Elizabeth Katherine Pickett said "Yes" and the engagement became official. Following the proposal and high-five's and hugs from Buzz, Christian and Elizabeth were treated to a ride around the Tech campus in the official "Ramblin' Wreck," courtesy of the GT Alumni Association. Christian and Elizabeth, who have been together for more than two years, plan to wed in May 2012.
