Four Georgia Tech CoE professors will receive recognition at the Faculty/Staff Honors Luncheon on April 19, 2011. 

Dr. Steve Potter, professor in the Wallace H. Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering, has been selected to receive the Class of 1940 Howard Ector Outstanding Teacher Award for his dedication to teaching and his contributions in learning, memory, and information processing using neuronal networks cultured in vitro.  Also a professor of BME, Dr. Melissa Kemp will receive the Outstanding Undergraduate Research Mentor (Junior) Award.  She will be honored for the important role she plays in the lives of her students.

Dr. Craig Tovey, professor of Industrial and Systems Engineering, has been selected to receive the Class of 1934 Outstanding Interdisciplinary Activities Award.  This unique award honors Dr. Tovey for his work in the diverse areas of optimization, probabilistic analysis, and natural systems.  Dr. Ozlem Ergun, an associate professor in the school of ISyE, will be awarded the Outstanding Undergraduate Research Mentor (Senior) Award for her dedication to her students and their success.
