Georgia Tech and the College of Engineering Graduate School Rankings Still Among Best in Nation

Georgia Tech’s College of Engineering (CoE) has placed fourth in the latest U.S. News & World Report graduate rankings of national universities granting doctoral degrees. "Everyone in CoE should feel proud of the reputation and accomplishments of the college and the schools," said Gary S. May, Dean of Engineering. All Georgia Tech graduate engineering programs placed in the top ten nationally for the first time in history. The College of Engineering has the most programs in the top ten of any other ranked university in the country.

Once again, the School of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISyE) was the top ranked industrial/manufacturing program in the country for the 22nd year in a row. Other Tech graduate engineering programs rankings included:

 Industrial - 1st
 Aerospace – 4th
 Biomedical – 2nd
 Civil – 3rd
 Chemical –10th
 Computer -6th
 Electrical – 5th
 Environmental – 6th
 Materials Science – 7th
 Mechanical – 6th
 Nuclear – 5th

 “This is indeed a reflection of the strong and sustained efforts demonstrated by the engineering school chairs, faculty, staff and students,” said May.

Georgia Tech, ranked 7th among public universities, has ranked in the top 10 of public universities for more than a decade.
