Three Civil & Environmental Engineering graduate students have been recognized for their achievements. Josephine Kressner has been named the 2011 recipient of the Women's Transportation Seminar President's Legacy Scholarship. This scholarship recognizes women who demonstrate leadership in the transportation industry and commitment to community service. Ms. Kressner was recognized for her work in co-founding Revive Atlanta, a non-profit organization that seeks to convert underutilized properties into community parks and gardens. The scholarship provides $3,000 and travel to San Francisco for the International WTS meeting in May.
Graduate students Brittany Luken and Donny Katz have been named Eno Fellows and will attend the upcoming 2011 Eno Leadership Development Conference. Katz is a doctoral student in civil and environmental engineering, and Brittany Luken is a joint degree student in civil engineering and industrial and systems engineering. Both students will attend the one week conference in Washington D.C. The Eno Leadership Conference introduces students to the intricacies of policy development in transportation and provides opportunities for students to meet transportation leaders from across the country.
