Georgia Tech professor of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering Ron Rousseau has been selected to receive CCR's 2011 Pruitt Award. CCR is a leadership organization whose membership represents industry, academia, and government. The mission of the CCR is to enhance research in chemistry-based sciences, engineering, and technology that benefits society and the national well-being through productive interaction among industrial, academic, and governmental research sectors.
The Pruitt Award is CCR’s highest award, named after CCR founder Malcolm Pruitt. Its purpose is to recognize an individual record of outstanding contributions to the progress of chemistry and chemical engineering research by promotion of mutually beneficial interactions among universities, government laboratories, and chemical industry. Nominees are evaluated by a board of members from government laboratories, universities, and industry. Rousseau will be presented the award during a special ceremony at the Annual Meeting May 1-3, 2011 in Detroit, Michigan.
