
Mario D. Ball, a Morehouse/GT biomedical engineering graduate, was recently awarded a "Power 30 Under 30" Award in the Science and Technology category. Ball is a clinical engineer with Medtronic's Cardiac Rhythm Disease Management team in the metro Atlanta area.
The 7th Annual Atlanta's Power 30 Under 30 Awards recognized the accomplishments of young professionals under the age of 30 who display strong leadership abilities as they consistently excel within their communities and respective professional industries. This year's sponsors included Cadillac, Grey Goose Vodka, and The Apex Society.
The Apex Society, an invitation-only, young professionals club based in New York City, produces the Power 30 Under 30™ Awards. Since its inception in 2000, the organization has made honoring young successful individuals a priority. Too often young professionals under the age of thirty are overlooked or considered professionally inept. The Apex Society begs to differ.
The Power 30 Under 30™ Awards honors thirty outstanding individuals under the age of thirty around the United States that have achieved extraordinary success. Young leaders are recognized from the following categories: 1) Arts, Entertainment, & Media 2) Business 3) Community Service 4) Politics 5) Science & Technology 6) Sports.
Ball was joined by other honorees including Matt Ryan, quarterback of the Atlanta Falcons; David Nicholas, co-founder of Future Voices of America; and Kathryn Powell, president, Atlanta Junior Chamber of Commerce.
