
Martha Grover has been chosen to receive the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChe) Computing and Systems Technology Division's 2011 Outstanding Young Researcher Award. This award is given annually to recognize outstanding contributions to the chemical engineering computing and systems technology literature. Eligible recipients must be age 39 or less at the end of the award year or have received their Ph.D. within the past 12 years. The prize consists of $3000 and a plaque.
Dr. Grover is currently an Associate Professor of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Georgia Tech. She received her B.S. from the University of Illinois in '96 and her M.S./P.hD. from the California Institute of Technology in '97 and '03 respectively. Dr. Grover's research focuses on understanding macromolecular organization and the emergence of biological function. AIChe cited her specifically for developing systematic yet practical methods to engineer materials structures.
