
Donald Ratliff, executive director of the Georgia Tech Supply Chain & Logistics Institute, has been invited to become a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council on Logistics & Supply Chain for the 2011-2012 term. The Global Agenda Council on Logistics & Supply Chain is designed to provide insight and develop recommendations to address key global challenges. On October 10-11, council members will meet at the Summit on the Global Agenda in Abu Dhabi. This event will bring together 700 experts from around the world to share knowledge and advance recommendations to the most critical challenges facing humanity.
Dr. Ratliff is a supply chain and logistics expert with more than 30 years of experience as an educator, researcher, consultant, and technology business executive. Dr. Ratliff received B.S. and M.S. degrees from the University of Alabama. In 1970, he received a Ph.D. in operations research from Johns Hopkins University and in 1978 he joined the ISyE faculty at Georgia Tech. As Executive Director of the Supply Chain & Logistics Institute at Georgia Tech, he provides leadership for the largest research program in the world devoted to the study of supply chains and logistics.
