
Over the years, Chevron has shown ongoing support to the College of Engineering in a multitude of ways. Most recently, Chevron contributed a check in the amount of $100,000 to a variety of schools and student organizations under the College of Engineering. The donation, which was accepted by the college's Dean Dr. Gary S. May during the halftime of the Georgia Tech/Clemson game, was made possible by a partnership between Chevron Global Downstream Marketing and Georgia Tech IMG Sports Marketing.
The contribution was allocated to the George W. Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering, the School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, the Office of Minority Education and Development (OMED), and an additional seven Student Organizations.
