Tech Tower

Intel’s corporate university, the Fab/Sort Manufacturing (FSM) and the Georgia Tech College of Engineering (CoE)  have partnered to bring GT’s distance learning Master’s degree program in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) to FSM.

With a globally dispersed employee group, the distance learning aspect of this three year program is immensely attractive to Intel FSM employees around the world by providing the flexibility to take courses while managing their work and life needs.  The elective curriculum for the program includes three CoE developed courses, taught by engineering faculty, which makes the curriculum uniquely tailored for FSM needs.  This unique partnership brings Intel technical expertise to CoE courses while enriching and broadening the academic knowledge learned through GT’s ECE program.

Two FSM employees have received GT acceptance for the Spring 2012 semester and FSM is expecting more than thirty of its employees to participate in the program in the Fall of 2012 and beyond.  A formal program launch celebration event will take place at Intel’s Ocotillo site on January 20, 2012.
