Georgia Tech and the Civil Engineering CASE Center played a part through the use of GTSTRUDL by Oriciclon in the analysis and design of this beautiful Christmas tree so magnificently displayed in São Paulo's Ibirapuera Park Lagoon. Built in aluminum and assembled in only 5 days, it reaches 210 feet high. Dr. Leroy Z. Emkin is the founder and co-director of Computer Aided Structural Engineering Center (GTSTRUDL) and a professor in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering.
GTSTRUDL is one of the most widely used Structural Design & Analysis software programs for Architectural - Engineering - Construction (AEC), CAE/CAD, utilities, offshore, industrial, nuclear and civil works. GT STRUDL is a fully integrated general-purpose structural information processing system capable of supplying an engineer with accurate and complete technical data for design decision making. GTSTRUDL is used by industrial organizations, construction firms, heavy and light industry design firms, power industry design firms, utilities and manufacturing companies, governmental agencies, and educational institutions for the frame and finite element static, dynamic, and nonlinear analysis and the structural design of a wide variety of structure types
