Engineering alumnus, Mary Spio, is featured on the cover of the January issue of Orlando Magazine. She is featured in a story called "Raise the Bar" which spotlights nine achievers and how they set their goals. Mary is founder and president of Next Galaxy Media, a technology company that produces, distributes and markets digital media. According to the magazine, "sleep is optional."

Spio began gaining notoriety in her field when she joined Boeing in 2001 as the head of Satellite Communications Systems at just age 26. She later launched One2One Living, a specialty media company targeting singles that included a nationally distributed magazine and an active web community.  Following this success, Spio then founded Gen2Media, an interactive digital video technology, marketing, production and media company. Her technology can be seen globally in digital theaters.
