
Georgia Tech’s College of Engineering (CoE) has again placed fourth in the latest U.S. News & World Report graduate rankings of national universities granting doctoral degrees. "Everyone in CoE should feel proud of the reputation and accomplishments of the college and the schools," said Gary S. May, Dean of Engineering. All Georgia Tech engineering schools placed in the top ten in their respective fields for the first time in history. Once again, the School of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISyE) was the top ranked industrial/manufacturing program in the country.
Other Tech graduate engineering school rankings included:
ISYE- 1st
Aerospace – 4th
Biomedical – 2nd
Civil – 3rd
Chemical –10th
Computer -6th
Electrical – 5th
Environmental – 6th
Materials Science – 7th
Mechanical – 6th
In addition, U.S. World also ranks Nuclear Engineering programs. Georgia Tech came in at 5th, up three places, from last year’s rankings.
“This is indeed a reflection of the strong and sustained efforts demonstrated by the engineering school chairs, faculty, staff and students,” said May.
