On April 23 the Georgia Tech Ambassadors, in conjunction with the Presidents’ Council Governing Board, held their ninth annual Up With The White And Gold Ceremony. Open to the entire campus community, the annual event is designed to be a celebration of achievements and leadership.

At this year's event more than 20 organizations and departments presented awards to students, faculty, staff, and student organizations recognizing their contributions to campus life, involvement, and leadership.

The College of Engineering's Dean Gary Mary received two awards, being named "Most Intellectual Staff Member" and "Most Likely to Win a Nobel Prize" on behalf of the GT Ambassadors.

Dean May began his tenure as Dean of the College of Engineering on July 1, 2011 after serving as a member of the ECE faculty for 20 years. A Tech graduate (‘85), his research focuses on computer aided manufacturing of integrated circuits.
