Molly Ford Croft has been appointed by Dean Gary S. May as the new Senior Director of Development for the College of Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Croft previously served as director of development for the Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering at Georgia Tech and Emory University. She has served as the interim senior director at the College of Engineering since August 2011.

Croft has been with the Office of Development at Georgia Tech for more than 20 years. As senior director of development, she will focus on working with Dean May and the College of Engineering to achieve the College’s and its respective schools’ private funding objectives in collaborations with the school chairs, the CoE Development team, and colleagues in the Office of Development during Campaign Georgia Tech and beyond.

Prior to her present position, Croft served as director of development for the College of Computing at Georgia Tech, another interdisciplinary-focused program.  Here she had similar responsibilities, which included developing strategies and soliciting major gift donors to raise private support.

After graduating from the University of Virginia, Croft obtained her first position in higher education with the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) in Washington, DC where she served as program director. She has authored a chapter in the Academic Unit Advancement Officer Handbook entitled "Establishing and Maintaining Key Institutional Relationships Across Disciplines and Institutions" and has served on a number of boards, including the Atlanta chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
