
In the 2012 QS World University Rankings by Subject for Engineering and Technology, the best performing universities for the subject areas of: computer science, chemical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, and mechanical engineering are listed.
In Georgia Tech's College of Engineering both Materials Science Engineering and Mechanical Engineering ranked 11th in the world. Electrical Engineering came in at 15th, Civil Engineering was 24th, and Chemical Engineering finished at 28th.
