While an engineering student at Georgia Tech, Stewart earned the title of America's Cleanest Comic in the Old Spice High Endurance Body Wash America's Cleanest Comic Competition. Stewart's audition resonated with voters. He displayed comedic genius as he interacted with Georgia Yellow Jackets' fanatics for the chance to win, and delivered the classic knee-slapper: "What kind of an animal don't you play cards with? A cheetah." The humor was clearly in the delivery. Stewart, was proclaimed the national winner, beat out comedic hopefuls from 17 college campuses across the U.S. by earning the most votes.
