
Georgia Tech’s engineering college has again placed among the country’s top five undergraduate engineering programs, according to rankings released Wednesday by U.S. News & World Report.
The College of Engineering (CoE) is No. 5 among bachelor’s programs at universities that offer doctoral degrees, as reported in the annual U.S. News publication called America’s Best Colleges. All of the programs offered by CoE, the nation’s largest and most diverse engineering college, placed among the top 10 of their respective areas.
The Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering is again No. 1 among similar schools, while Tech’s programs in aerospace, biomedical, and environmental engineering grabbed the No. 2 spot on their lists.
"We are certainly pleased to see how well the College of Engineering and its undergraduate programs did in the latest U.S. News & World Report rankings. It is our intention at Georgia Tech to foster an environment that will produce tomorrow's brightest researchers, scholars, creators and leaders," said Gary S. May, dean of CoE. "Thanks to the commitment of our school chairs, faculty, staff, and most importantly, our students, we believe that we are ideally situated to address the issues and challenges of the world through technology. It is always gratifying when that commitment is recognized by the higher education community."

- Industrial and Systems Engineering – 1st
- Aerospace Engineering – 2nd
- Biomedical Engineering – 2nd
- Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering –7th
- Civil Engineering – 3rd
- Computer Engineering – 6th
- Electrical Engineering – 5th
- Environmental Engineering – 2nd
- Materials Science and Engineering – 5th
- Mechanical Engineering – 3rd
