Georgia Tech alumna and College of Engineering external advisory board member Deborah Kilpatrick has been recognized by medical device company Qmed as a leader in the industry.
Naming Kilpatrick one of its top 10 female leaders in medtech, the site noted that she is chief commercial officer at CardioDx and has worked at the Vascular Intervention Division of Guidant Corp.
Kilpatrick received her B.S. ('89), M.S. ('93) and Ph.D. ('96) from Georgia Tech, all in mechanical engineering. In addition to serving on the CoE advisory board, Kilpatrick has been involved with the annual Inventure Prize competition, serving as a judge.
Kilpatrick joined CardioDx in 2006 as vice president for market development, with responsibility for building the marketing and reimbursement capabilities of the company. She currently oversees commercial functions that include provider marketing and sales, managed care marketing and sales, market access, and public relations.
